INTERSECTIONS
As a design strategist, one of my biggest strengths is my passionate curiosity. In design, it’s important to constantly seek out new experiences and new perspectives. We often are asked to find innovative and human ways so solve problems, so the ability to understand what motivates people is so important.
There are very few things that excite me more than a deep, meaningful conversation. I’ve become comfortable asking questions, digging a little deeper to gain a clearer understanding. Whether it’s reframing my thinking, introducing opposing perspectives, uncovering history, or validating emotions, conversation is what helps me see the positivity in humanity and inspires purpose in my work.
Often we see design publications focus on the aesthetics and visual representation of design, which is an obvious way design thinking manifests, but in order to really understand why we make the design choices we do, it’s important to understand the thinking behind those decisions.
Intersections is the conversational part of T. D. Nexus, where we introduce these perspectives, and how they all ultimately intersect, through casual conversation. I will be chatting with experts and non-experts alike, trying to make sense of the world we live in to inspire bursts of fresh ideas and understanding.
